On average there are 57,900 annual job openings in agriculture and only 35,400 college graduates to fill them, there has never been a better time to consider a career in ag. Agriculture is a fast-growing industry that offers thousands of opportunities in rewarding and challenging fields like business, communications, engineering, science, technology and many more.
America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, offers $1,500 college scholarships to high school seniors and college students pursuing ag-related degrees. Grow Ag Leaders will again be awarding more than $500,000 in scholarships across 40 states this spring.
The application period is closed at this time. The National FFA Organization is in the process of selecting the 2016 Grow Ag Leader scholarship recipients. Check back in May to see who won in your area.
More scholarships will be available in 2017. Starting November 15, students can apply online at FFA.org/scholarships. You do not have to be an FFA member to apply. The National FFA Organization administers the scholarship program.
