We aim to make America’s Farmers Grow Communities as easy to understand as possible. Of course, there are times we need to get into the nitty gritty. Here are some of the most frequent questions we hear.
What is the America’s Farmers Grow Communities Program?
America’s Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, partners with farmers to support farming communities by offering farmers the opportunity to enroll for a chance to win a $2,500 donation to direct to their favorite community non-profit. It takes less than five minutes to apply, and the application period runs August 1 through November 1 of this year. One winner is selected in each of the 1,335 eligible counties across 41 states.
Who can apply?
This program is designed for any farmer who farms 250 acres or more, is 21 years or older, and is actively engaged in farming. Entrants are limited to one entry per qualified person (regardless of the form of entry). A farmer is “actively engaged in farming” if he or she performs the work, or hires and actively manages others who do so. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
Can a participant be eligible for the program this year if he/she has participated in the program last year?
Yes, participants and winners from previous year’s are eligible to participate and win this year’s program if they still meet the eligibility requirements.
How are the winners selected?
Winners are randomly selected by a computer. There are several ways you can win.
